MY BIO

Sean Smith holds a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Church Growth from Pacific Christian College. With over 30 years of experience in church ministry, Sean has served congregations ranging from 400 to 5,000 members. Currently, Sean serves as a dedicated chaplain with the Arizona Department of Corrections, providing spiritual guidance and support to incarcerated individuals. Additionally, Sean shares knowledge and insights as an adjunct professor at Grand Canyon University.
Beyond his roles in ministry and academia, Sean is a versatile creative professional, working as a freelance graphic designer, web developer, and video creator. His talents and passion for visual communication enable him to bring ideas to life across various mediums.
Sean is deeply committed to making a difference in the world as well. He serves as the chairman of the board of Life Ansanm, a missions organization dedicated to serving communities in Haiti. Through his leadership, Life Ansanm endeavors to bring hope and practical assistance to the poorest country in the western hemisphere.
Outside of professional pursuits, Sean finds joy and fulfillment in family life. Married to Shelley, a devoted first-grade teacher, for nearly three decades, they have nurtured a loving family together. Their three daughters, Allison, Kate, and Emily, each pursuing their unique paths, reflect the values of service and education instilled in them by their parents. Allison serves as a resident director at Grand Canyon University, Kate channels her creativity as a Graphic Designer at Christ Church of The Valley, and Emily, a recent graduate from Point Loma Nazarene University, is poised to embark on her teaching journey as a Kindergarten educator in the upcoming fall.
